I know, you probably think I’m crazy, but it’s true! There is a way to make wonderfully lovely butter in 5 minutes. The result is buttery and delicious with a clotted cream texture. If you ever run out of butter, this recipe is a life saver. Here’s how I make butter in 5 minutes:
All you’ll need:
1 tub heavy cream
1 glass jar with lid.
Pinch of salt.
Step 1: Pour the cream in the jar and seal the lid tightly. Shake the jar rigorously. The cream will transform into butter after about 5 minutes. You’ll notice the liquid has formed a solid and the white is now yellow.
Step 2: Unscrew the lid and drain the residue buttermilk liquid. You’ll need to wash any remaining butter milk out now. Place your butter in a bowl and rinse under cold water. With a spoon, press the butter to help release excess liquid.
Step 3: Serve in a ramekin and serve or place in a tupperware box in the fridge. It will keep for 1 day or 2.

I need to try this! Butter goes fast in my house and the kind I like at the store is often sold out. Looks like fun, I think the kids will really have fun with this!
By cream do you mean the stuff called heavy whipping cream, its all that is available in my local grocer market?
