Key to My Heart Garland

This is my favorite Valentine’s decoration, the incredibly romantic Key to My Heart Garland! It’s such a simple but effective play on a traditional garland that looks fantastic around my home. With a few vintage keys, you can show your loved one how much they mean to you!

All you’ll need:

3-4 meters Ribbon

1/2 Meter Red Felt Fabric

10-30 keys, depending on how long your garland is and how many keys you have!

Hot glue gun.

Step 1: Start by making your felt hearts. You can print off my Heart templates here. Simply trace and cut out your hearts to the size you’d like.

Step 2: Lay out your ribbon and thread through your keys. (If you can’t find enough keys, you can make them yourself with my Key Templates and a few sheets of card. Simply trace the keys on a sheet of thick card stock and cut out). Try and aim to spread the keys out about 4-5 inches from each other.

Step 3: After every 10 keys, place your felt heart shapes over your ribbon and adhere with hot glue.

Step 4: Ensure there is enough ribbon at the end of your garland so you can hang this beautiful Valentine’s Day decoration around your home!
